Join with water protectors

In March 2020, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia decided that consultation with Sipekne’katik First Nation regarding the Alton Gas project was insufficient. This decision invalidated Alton Gas’ Industrial Approval and ordered 120 days of consultation with Sipekne’katik First Nation.

In May 2020, grassroots water protectors saw Alton Gas workers on site, noticed that changes to the mixing channel had been made even though consultation has not been completed. Read more about Alton Gas »

Tell Nova Scotia Environment Minister Gordon Wilson to put a stop to Alton Gas’ work and suspend the Industrial Approval for this project.
