Premier Moe: SK needs a just transition now!

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and  scientists from around the world tell us, we need to do more – quickly – on climate change, but the Saskatchewan government is trying to get away with doing even less.

The Saskatchewan Party’s climate plan, “Prairie Resilience” is largely just a redressing of their plan from eight years ago. In particular, it sets an incredibly weak target for the oil and gas sector of a 10 per cent emissions reduction by 2030.

It is frustrating to see this inaction because we have the solutions. We have the policies and the technologies we need for a fair and fast transition to renewable energy that protects workers and upholds Indigenous rights.

See the infographic to learn what we are asking the Saskatchewan government to commit to.

If you agree, please send a letter to your elected representatives. They need to hear from as many people asking for bold climate action as possible.
